9.5mm Cutting Length Full Tooth 4F Horse Clipper Blade with Ceramic or Stainless Cutter A5 Clipper Blade

The A5 4F horse clipper blade from Ningbo FOLK Tools is a full-tooth detachable blade that leaves 9.5 mm (3/8 inch) of coat — the length professional grooms use when the horse still needs warmth, protection or a natural finish. It is a direct A5 clipper blade that clicks onto the A5 clipper head used by Andis, Oster, Wahl and Heiniger, so it works as a straightforward clippers blade replacement part on the clippers already in your barn.

The 4F is the "full tooth" version of the A5 #4, which means every tooth is present and the finished surface stays even instead of leaving the open tracks a skip-tooth blade produces. Combined with a 9.5 mm cutting length, three things happen on a horse:

• Warmth is retained. A 9.5 mm coat is long enough to keep a clipped horse comfortable in cool weather, which is why 4F is a natural choice for late-autumn and winter clipping.
• Skin is protected. Horses with pink or thin skin, and horses turned out in daylight, gain real sun protection from a longer cut.
• Clip lines blend away. Because the blade leaves coat rather than scalping it, the same A5 clipper blade is used to soften the transition between a short body clip and longer hair on the legs.

Use the 4F across the large, flat surfaces of the horse: neck, chest, shoulder, barrel, back and hindquarters. It is also the right blade for trace clips and blanket clips, where the boundary between clipped and unclipped hair needs to look deliberate rather than abrupt. For the face, ears, elbows, inside of the front legs and the coronet band, step down to a narrower #10 or #15 — a 9.5 mm blade is not designed for tight, bony geometry.

Every 4F blade is built around a cutter you can choose for the job. Both are drop-in parts for the same blade body, and both are available as clipper blade parts on their own so your customers can refresh a worn blade instead of replacing it:

The blade is built to A5 dimensions — hinge slot, mounting rail, cutter fork and tension point — so it seats on A5 clippers from the major brands. Confirmed fits include Andis AGC, AGC2, UltraEdge and Super 2-Speed; Oster A5, Golden A5 and Turbo A5; Wahl KM2, KM5, KM10 and Show Pro; and Heiniger A5-compatible models such as Saphir. Note that the Oster 76 series and livestock shears use a different, larger blade system and are not A5.

• Hunter clip and full body clip with coat left on — a practical winter clip that still leaves the horse warm.
• Trace clip and blanket clip — the 9.5 mm length makes the boundary between clipped and unclipped areas look natural.
• Blending and tidying — soften the edge of an existing clip, or take the bulk off before finishing with a #10 for show day.
• Roughing off a heavy coat — then refine with a shorter blade where a sharper finish is wanted.

Horse coat is abrasive, and a 4F blade works hard. Brush the coat clean and dry before clipping, keep the blade flat to the skin, and oil every ten minutes or so; a clipper blade oil sample can be supplied with bulk orders so your customers start with the right lubricant. Check tension if the blade starts to chatter or leave lines, and store the blade with a light film of oil to prevent rust between seasons.

Because the whole range shares the A5 system, buyers can stock a complete ladder of lengths — #10 and #15 for close work, #5F and #4F for coat, and the wide 4FW for large-area efficiency — without changing anything on the clipper.
